Reverend Turned Gay: A Chicken Come Home To Roost!

| Reverend Canon Mpho Tutu-van Furth |
Just as the (retired) Archbishop Desmond Tutu, I am sad but not surprise when the news got to me that his daughter, Reverend Canon Mpho Tutu-van Furth had married another woman as her wife! I am sad for two reasons; first being that God has catched Tutu by his neck while he still breath and secondly, because I know other Christians, the Anglicans especially are already sad with this news.
For those who do not know, Mr. Tutu who won the Nobel peace prize in 1984 for the struggle against apartheid in South Africa, have been so staunch and substantial in defending and advocating Gay marriage for years. This was probably among with other reasons what made his Church in South Africa dumped him years ago. Despite the fact that South Africa enacted same-sex marriage in 2006, the Anglican Church continues to be divided over the issue. The Episcopal Church, the U.S. branch of the worldwide Anglican Communion, supports same-sex marriages, and this, is why I am not surprise at Mpho's marriage! Not all Anglican churches in other countries do support this filth however. I also do not know any in Nigeria. But, they need be extra careful!
For the record, before somebody begin to think I am just here to sell out Christianity, I want such thinking minds to know that, I am a student of comparative studies on religions (Islam and Christianity in particular) and Alhamdulillah, I happen to study and memorise some part of the Bible, by heart, much more than you can imagine. In the course of my studies, though there are things I can't stand to defend in the Bible on this subject matter, I still couldn't read a sentence from Christ (p) advocating same-sex marriage. In fact, the Gospels condemned it.
Homosexuality has largely been a taboo topic even for the Vatican for generations now. And this is why, in as much as I reasoned with Pope Francis’ comments on homosexuality sometime in July 2013 when he said “If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?” I however began questioning Tutu's faith when in 2013 he was reported to have said "I would not worship a God who is homophobic and that is how deeply I feel about this. I am as passionate about this campaign as I ever was about Apartheid. For me, it is at the same level.”
You will for the sake of argument, on one side reason with Pope Francis to say that he was not suggesting that the priests or anyone else should act on their homosexual tendencies, which the church considers a sin. "But the fact that he made such comments — and used the word “gay” — was nevertheless revolutionary, and likely to generate significant discussion in local dioceses, where bishops are divided over whether to accept priests who are gay but celibate." Today, South African Anglican church have started paying the price of such argument!
I am happy Reverend Canon Mpho Tutu-van Furth have been forced to give up her own licence, and as such, she can no longer preside at holy communion, weddings, baptisms or funerals because the church does not recognise gay marriage.
Now, believe me, very soon, some feminists and other human rights activists will began the quest to fighting for her rights as to why must she be made to resign from been a cleric simply because she chooses to follow her desire? Just watch and listen.
May God save us from evil.
